We don’t give enough credit to simple (and inexpensive) activities, like taking a bath, to provide us with the rejuvenation we need to power through our to-lists.

Bath bombs can take your soaking experience to a whole new level! The perfect bath bomb will contain moisturizing ingredients that allow your skin to absorb extra hydration. I personally enjoy bath bombs that contain essential oils like lavender or peppermint. There are bath bombs specifically formulated for sensitive skin.
While you’re enjoying your luxurious soak is the perfect time to enjoy a face mask, too. Find a mask that addresses your skin’s needs and enjoy the therapeutic effects while you soak in the tub.
Epsom salt or Bath Salts
My favorite thing to grab when my muscles are sore is a bag of Epsom salt. Working out leaves me feeling stiff and tense in the shoulders, neck, back, and legs, and few things bring me relief like Epsom salt. Soaking for at least 15 minutes should be enough time for you to experience relief.
Why not go ahead and multitask while you’re soaking in the tub? Grab a good book or magazine and use a bath tray to keep it dry as you read while you’re enjoying your soak.

To make sure you get your body nice and clean during your bath, don’t forget to grab your favorite body wash. I have dry skin, so I always choose a body wash with added moisturizers.
After I soak and get out of the tub, I like to replenish moisture to my skin by applying shea butter. I love the way shea butter moisturizes my skin without leaving it feeling greasy. Shea butter smoothes dry skin and is also known to treat certain skin conditions.

Hopefully, you can get some peace and quiet during your self-care bath time. So, this would be a great time to read a chapter or two of your favorite book or a book that you’ve been wanting to read. Or, if you prefer to listen to audiobooks, the bathtub is a great time to listen to a few chapters.
