I’ve Got a New Attitude
What is Attitude?
Typically defined as a way of thinking or feeling about something, attitude directly impacts your behavior. Attitude is usually evident by how a person speaks, acts, and carries themself. When I think about the word attitude, I often start humming Patti LaBelle’s hit, New Attitude. In this popular song, Patti sings,
I’m feeling good from my hat to my shoe
Know where I’m going and I know that to do
I’ve tidied up my point of view
I’ve got a new attitude.
These lyrics personify the power of having a good attitude.
Choose to Be Positive
I know it has been extremely difficult to have a positive attitude lately. For approximately nine months, we have experienced life as we’ve never experienced it before. I won’t even bother recapping everything we’ve experienced because we are not far enough removed from it to even pretend that we’ve forgotten. Twenty twenty was hard. It was draining. And without a doubt, it affected my attitude. I’m probably not alone.
But that’s in the past, and I want to move forward. To move forward productively, I’m going to change my attitude. I hope that you will do the same if you’ve found yourself thinking negatively.
New Year, New Attitude
Having a good attitude is essential for honoring those New Year’s resolutions that you may have made and reaching goals you’ve set for yourself. So, I challenge you to have a new attitude as we begin this new year.
Your attitude is one of those things that you can actually control. So, it’s up to you to determine how you will think and feel about the things in your life.
How to Have a New Attitude
You may be wondering how you can change your attitude. Well, here are five quick and easy tips for changing your attitude right now:

I’m going to leave you with this very popular Zig Ziglar quote:
It’s your attitude, not your aptitude that will determine your altitude.
My high school pruncipal often used the quote: your attitude determines your altitude. Thanks for getting me in the spirit of having a new attitude.
Yes! Attitude is everything. Have a great week!
My grandmother use to tell me that my attitude would determine my altitude in life. How I wish that I could sit with her and allow her to see the woman that I’ve become. Thanks for this reminder maa! 🥰
Very wise words!
