Nightlife in Orange Beach, Alabama
There are a variety of activities available to you in the Orange Beach area. Here are a few to choose from:
Ferris Wheel at The Wharf by Cherith FlukerVisit The Wharf
The Wharf is a popular location in Orange Beach. It’s a great place to go in the evenings for good food, shopping, and entertainment. On Monday nights, during the summer months, you can catch a spectacular fireworks show. Grab your family and find a spot along Main Street to enjoy the show.
Some people think of The Wharf as a shopping center, but it’s so much more than that. There’s also a Ferris Wheel at the Wharf that lights up after dark, providing an awesome view and a fun time!.
The Wharf is also home to The Wharf Amphitheater where you can catch some local musicians or sometimes you might find some big names playing! The Wharf Amphitheater also hosts other special events, so make sure to check the local calendar of events to see if there are any exciting events planned during your stay.
Every night at The Wharf, you can catch SPECTRA Sound & Light Spectacular, a choreographed light and sound show. During the summer, SPECTRA includes a mini-show made just for kids! You’ll definitely want to catch this free presentation that’s sure to lots of fun!
Grab a drink and listen to music at Sandshaker at The Wharf
If karaoke, DJs, and live band performances are your thing, you’ll love Sandshaker at The Wharf. In addition to great music, Sandshaker boasts that it’s the “home of the ‘original’ Bushwacker.

Eat, listen to music, and play at Lucy Buffet’s LuLu’s
A fan fave in Gulf Shores is Lucy Buffett’s LuLu’s. I honestly can’t remember a trip to Gulf Shores that didn’t include a meal at Lulu’s! Lulu’s is owned by Lucy Buffett (the little sister of Jimmy Buffett) and is known for food, family, and fun!
At LuLu’s, you can have a delicious meal with a view of the water. The restaurant serves excellent seafood (the gumbo is my fave), burgers, salads, and more. Everyone (even picky eaters) is sure to find something they’ll like on LuLu’s extensive menu.
It’s hard to choose the best thing about Lulu’s. You have live music, an arcade, a ropes course, and the cool shop, making Lulu’s a vacation in itself!
Hang out at The Hangout
Located in Gulf Shores, The Hangout is one of the first places that welcomes you if you enter Gulf Shores on Alabama State Route 59. It offers lots of fun for the entire family during the day and at night. At night, you’re likely to be drawn in by the sounds of a live DJ or band performing on the stage. Whether you’re looking to relax by the fire pit, make a wish on the wish wall, put your toes in the sand, or dance to some amazing tunes, The Hangout will give you all of those options and more.
There’s also a full menu offering a variety of delicious food and drink options.
Eat and relax at The Gulf
The Gulf describes itself as offering “elegant rustic cuisine”, and I have to say I agree. The Gulf is seaside dining with outdoor seating that has an ambiance that makes it welcoming and fun!
The Gulf’s unique design features recycled building materials and shipping containers that go well with the palm trees, the sand, and the sound of the waves.
Evenings at The Gulf are so cozy! Grab your friends and family and sit around the fire enjoying a drink, delicious food, conversation and laughter. It’s the perfect place for a fun evening in Orange Beach.
