Walt Disney World Restaurants: My Favorite Five
If you’ve visited Walt Disney World before, you’ll know dining is a big part of the trip. With hundreds of different dining options in the theme parks and resorts, it can be a little overwhelming to narrow down the choices for your trip. Today I’m going to share with you my top five recommendations in hopes of inspiring you for your next visit!
5. Frontera Cocina at Disney Springs
Located within the Town Center area of Disney Springs, Frontera Cocina serves Mexican food at this table service restaurant. Chef Rick Bayless has prepared an extensive menu for this contemporary restaurant, and there are great regular weekday promos such as Tequila Tuesday and Wild Wednesday! Our favorite dishes here include the Guacamole and Chips to start (which can even be topped with bacon!), and the Carne Asada or Carnitas as an entrée. And of course, a visit here wouldn’t be complete without trying one of their margaritas or tequila flights! If you’re ever looking for a snack whilst walking around Disney Springs, Frontera Cocina also offers a walk-up window, perfect for grabbing a quick taco on the go!
4. Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort
Located in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort, Whispering Canyon Cafe is a lively all-you-can-eat restaurant for the whole family. Expect fun interactions and crazy antics from the Cast Members serving you here, as well as hearty bottomless platters of food. Kids will be kept entertained with coloring, sing-a-longs and races around the restaurant, and adults will love the signature skillets on offer. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and offering plant-based skillet options, this restaurant will appeal to members of your party of any age – our top recommendations are The Traditional or The Pig skillets!
3. Garden Grill Restaurant at Epcot
Serving lunch and dinner, Garden Grill is located in the Land pavilion in Future World and is an all-you-can-eat character dining restaurant. This is a unique dining opportunity in the theme park, rotating 360 degrees to overlook the Living with the Land attraction. Kids and adults will enjoy Chip’n’Dale’s Harvest Feast, with endless salad, beef, turkey, mashed potatoes, macaroni cheese and vegetables. Make sure you leave room for the delicious Berry Short Cake dessert!
2. Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Heading over to the Contemporary Resort now is another character dining experience offering breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner. This all-you-can-eat buffet offers extensive food offerings, with a special Mouseketeers section for kids. However, the highlight of this meal is the Disney characters! Here you get to meet some of the following at each meal: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald Duck and Goofy. This is the perfect restaurant for any birthdays or celebrations!
1. ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort
Located in one of the most beautiful resorts on property, ‘Ohana is a favorite with regular visitors to Walt Disney World. Serving a character breakfast with Lilo and Stitch, and a Polynesian themed dinner, this restaurant is great for families and anyone with a large appetite! Food is served family-style at both meals, with endless refills available. At dinner, servers walk around the restaurant with large skewers of chicken, shrimp and steak, which is accompanied by a large platter of sides. Make sure you save room for one of the highlights of the meal, the ‘Ohana Bread Pudding!
