Dinner last night at The Finch in downtown Nashvil Dinner last night at The Finch in downtown Nashville understood the assignment. Let’s start with the vibe: cute bar, that downtown energy, and a server who was genuinely top-tier from the first minute we sat down. (You had me when you asked if Kaylen and I were sisters!)

But the shrimp and grits stole the show. Creamy grits and a white wine jus that I'm still thinking about. Absolutely delicious!

Tagging along with my girl on her conference trip has its perks, and The Finch was one of them. 😊

One year ago today, Secret Birmingham officially m One year ago today, Secret Birmingham officially made its way into the world.

What started as an idea and countless hours of research has become one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Over the past year, this little book has taken me places I never imagined:

• Hundreds of copies sold
• More than 50 book signings, festivals, libraries, and speaking events
• New friendships with readers across Alabama and beyond
• Media interviews and features
• Invitations to share Birmingham’s stories with audiences throughout the state
• The opportunity to write another book
• Countless memories that I’ll carry with me forever

Oh and let’s not forget TWO book awards!

More than anything, this journey has reminded me that saying “yes” to something that scares you can completely change your life.

To everyone who bought a copy, invited me to speak, attended an event, shared a post, recommended the book, or simply encouraged me along the way—thank you. Every bit of support has meant more than you know.

Here’s to Year One… and to whatever adventures Year Two has in store.
