Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and while the world has made great strides towards regaining some normalcy, There are still great reasons to continue to be cautious. The main purpose of Valentine’s Day is to celebrate love, right? So, I love the idea of planning an intimate gathering with those closest to you. Whether you want to plan a romantic evening with that special someone or you plan to make it an event for the entire family, keep reading for some awesome Valentine’s Day party ideas.
Write Handwritten Letters
Hey, you knew this was going to be at the top of my suggestion list. To me, there is nothing more intimate than a handwritten love note. I still have (and read) love letters that I’ve had since high school! Occasionally, my husband (who was also my high school sweetheart) and I will sit and read the notes and laugh and our young love. Our teenagers get a kick out of them too!
But also, I still have notes that my mother wrote to me. She had such a beautiful way of expressing her love for me and I am thankful that I still have the letters to look back on. My mother passed away almost a year ago and these letters have really helped me as I continue to grieve.
So take some time and make or find a beautiful notecard or some pretty stationery and pour your heart out to your loved ones this Valentine’s Day. There are very few things that can compare to a heartfelt love note. Trust me!
