I found those pretty wings Maxwell was singing about at Uptown Yolk Cafe in Charlotte! And they came with a cornmeal waffle!!!😋 Whew chile! Perfection! @eatmalpan hosted me for dinner my first night in @charlottesgotalot and let me just say, mmm mmm mmm! Before I get into the food, can we talk about this patio? 🌟 I could’ve stayed right there all night sipping sangrias!🍷

Now, the food. 🙌🏾 We started with warm, crispy tortilla chips, a bright salsa verde, tangy pickled red onions, and a skillet of rich, melty queso. 10/10

Then came the showstopper: the carne asada plate. It was a beautifully seared steak with flaky sea salt, charred green onions, a dollop of fresh guacamole with crisp radish, and an enchilada smothered in green sauce, and crema. Every bite was full of flavor.

If you’re heading to Charlotte, put Mal Pan on your list. Trust me on this one.

Stopped by The Mustard Club for lunch today. 😋 The server recommended the catfish sandwich and I’m so glad I listened. Crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside with marinated cucumbers (with a little spice) and a creamy remoulade on the softest bun! So good.
